One step closer

Sometimes love is a difficult thing to grasp onto.

Sometimes it is hard to open yourself to love when you feel like you have been hurt so many times.

Sometimes it is hard to let others in when all you can think of is the hurt you will face.

How can you love when you are afraid to fall.

These are questions we ask ourselves everyday when letting someone in.

I have been faced with these questions everyday of my life. Being fearful to open up and give myself fully instead of half way. I am able to love you but sometimes I am afraid of opening up to you. It seems so intense sometimes, so scary.

How can loving one person hurt so much. Why is that this love feels so good so right, but yet still I am so afraid to give it all.

It should not be this way. We are tied together for the rest of our lives.
How can I be brave?
How can I not be afraid to fall.
I am one step closer.
One step closer to just giving you all my love and showing you how much I love and care for you.
I will be brave.
I'll give you every breath, everything I am.

Time stands still when you are here with me. Nothing in this world matters when I am with you. All I can think of is you and that moment, that time we are together. Nothing seems to matter but what we have, what we share and that is love.
We stepped into this life together quickly. We gave it no thought at all. All we knew was that we loved each other and wanted to be together and share a life together with this unborn baby I was carrying.
We didn't know how hard it would be or how challenging things would be, but we did not care we went for it anyway.
Along the way we lost our way, we lost each other. We fell apart so quick. We shared tears, pain, hurt sorrow and so much more.
But my unborn baby kept bringing us back. She kept telling us to stop and remember. Then she came to this world and really helped us find our way back to each other. She brought us back.
The twinkle in her eyes. Her beautiful face. Her tiny hands and feet. Her wonderful presence. She brought the joy back and the memory of why we took that step inour life.
We are still one step closer, and as time goes we will arrive at the spot together.
